This role operates primarily on a remote working arrangement that will require roughllittle to no travel into our Coventry head office or various campuses. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department:
The Senior Functional Consultant (Salesforce) sits within our Technology Department that is crucial to making sure our employees and students can work effectively, deliver projects, find the right solutions and ensure we develop the technology that will make the biggest difference.
Our IT team is made up of around 65 employees with a vast range of skills from Software Development to IT Operations and Security.

About the Opportunity:
As a Senior Salesforce Functional Consultant, you'll play a key role in shaping and enhancing one of our most important business platforms, ensuring it continues to deliver exceptional value across the organisation.
Working within our Salesforce Team, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of our Salesforce platform, with a particular focus on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. You'll work closely with stakeholders from across the university to understand business needs, deliver innovative solutions, improve user adoption, and ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and fit for the future.
This is a varied role that combines hands-on Salesforce configuration with stakeholder engagement, user support, and continuous platform improvement. You'll contribute to enhancing data quality, streamlining business processes, and delivering new functionality that enables colleagues to work more efficiently and effectively.
As one of our Senior Functional Consultants, you'll also take a leading role in delivering our Salesforce roadmap, championing a configuration-first approach and helping to maximise the value of our investment in Salesforce. Working collaboratively with the wider Business Systems team, you'll influence platform design, support complex business requirements, and drive continuous improvement across our Salesforce ecosystem.
About You:

Essential:
· Significant hands-on experience in similar or related roles, including issue escalation and platform ownership.
· 4+ years administering Salesforce in a complex organisation.
· Advanced declarative configuration expertise (Flows, automation, security, reporting).
· Strong understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
· Experience working within Agile or structured service delivery environments.
· Salesforce Certified Administrator
Desirable:
· Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant certifications
· Experience with Omni‑Channel features.
· Experience mentoring administrators or supporting capability development.
· Experience working in Higher Education, public sector, or regulated environments.
· Familiarity with Jira or similar work and demand‑management tools.
· Experience supporting enterprise‑scale Salesforce users, data volumes, and governance structures.
