This role is hybrid with at least 2 days a week based at our Leeds Campus to suit the student timetable. Our hybrid working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit which could change at any point during your employment, so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department:
Our Learning Success Hub provides tools and assistance to students to support their academic journey. This includes provision of a Library Portal, Academic Skills, and the English Language Hub, who provide specialist support with academic English courses, resources, and assistance for students studying in English as an additional language.
About the Opportunity:
The English Language Hub is looking for a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to support our diverse student community. If you are a passionate EAP practitioner with a strong background in designing and delivering English language provision in higher education, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will:
Deliver engaging EAP and ESAP (English for Specific Academic Purposes) provision, including timetabled and optional classes, one-to-one appointments, and academic English workshops.
Develop and teach tailored EAP/ESAP courses to enhance student success and academic performance.
Support students in building their academic language skills, ensuring high levels of engagement and achievement.
Undertake associated administrative responsibilities, including marking, attendance monitoring, and reporting on student progress.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on student outcomes while working within a supportive and innovative academic environment.
** Evening Class Teaching is during Semesters only, and will be a fixed day between Monday and Thursday. The day may change each semester.
About You:
You will need to be:
CELTA (or equivalent) qualified, with a completed postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL).
Have substantial experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in higher education.
A dedicated and passionate educator committed to supporting student success.
An excellent communicator and team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students.
Skilled in delivering engaging and effective EAP instruction, both in group settings and one-to-one support.
Organised, proactive, and adaptable, with a student-centred approach to teaching.
