This role operates primarily on a remote working arrangement that will require little to no travel into our Coventry head office or Arden campuses. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department:
The Department of sits in the Faculty of Social Sciences, and has grown significantly over the last 3 years, and our journey continues. Our academic team has a diverse range of experiences from working in academia, as practitioners and working in industry. Our focus is on developing students in both discipline knowledge and applied skills to make them employer ready when they graduate from us.
About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Lecturer post provides an opportunity for an early career academic to gain experience and skills in learning, teaching and assessment practice in a Higher Education context within their subject discipline. Under the supervision of an experienced academic the Assistant Lecturer will:
Contribute to teaching in their subject at different levels and provide academic support to individual students and student groups.
Contribute to the assessment (for example, providing effective formative feedback, marking and moderation, creating assessments) of one or more modules at different levels.
Undertake administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities (for example, creation of teaching resources and materials, analysing student feedback on modules)
About You:
The Assistant Lecturer will support the teaching and learning activities of the department, contributing to the delivery of high-quality education. The role includes supporting lectures, seminars, workshops, assessment, and providing academic guidance to students.
Essential requirements:
- MSc or equivalent qualification in a Psychology related field
- Possess or be willing to obtain a recognised Higher Education teaching qualification.
- Demonstrate experience in current and effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices in Higher Education.
- Apply your knowledge to support the growth of Arden’s programmes and enhance student outcomes.
- Be a creative and inspiring assistant lecturer with a proven track record of delivering successful teaching and learning experiences.
