About the Department:
We are looking for a Senior Lecturer in Psychology to join our expanding School of Psychology. Our School has grown significantly over the last few years, and our journey continues. Our academic team brings together extensive experience from academia, professional practice, and industry. Our goal is to equip our students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring they are fully prepared for employment upon graduation.
About the Opportunity:
In this role as Senior Lecturer in Psychology (International Partnerships) you will play a key role in managing, and enhancing our global academic collaborations. You will ensure academic quality, and support the successful delivery of transnational education (TNE) programmes. The core responsibilities as Senior Lecturer will include:
- Ensure the academic quality, standards, and student experience within collaborative programmes align with institutional policies.
- Provide academic leadership in curriculum design, teaching, and assessment for international programmes
- Act as a Link Coordinator, maintaining regular communication and conducting visits to partner institutions.
- Support programme validation, accreditation, and compliance with regulatory frameworks
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance student mobility, global engagement, and transnational education strategy
- Contribute to research, knowledge exchange, and internationalisation initiatives within the department
- Mentor and support colleagues involved in international teaching and partnership activities
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC), recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Proven experience in developing and enhancing psychology programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- A strong understanding of current teaching, learning, and assessment practices in higher education
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing programme teams and individual staff
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with international franchise institutions, ensuring quality assurance and academic integrity
- Knowledge of UK and international HE regulations, quality assurance processes, and franchise partnership management
