The Assistant Lecturer in Psychology job role sits in the School of Psychology, Our school has grown significantly over the last few years, and our journey continues. Our academic team brings together extensive experience from academia, professional practice, and industry. Our goal is to equip our students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring they are fully prepared for employment upon graduation.
The Role – Assistant Lecturer in Psychology
This role of Assistant Lecturer in Psychology will be reporting into one of our Psychology Lecturers. You will be under the supervision of an experienced Academic, and will:
- Contribute to teaching at different levels and provide academic support to individual students and student groups.
- Contribute to the assessment process for one or more modules at different levels, including providing formative feedback, marking and moderation, and creating assessments.
- Undertaking administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities, which will include creating teaching resources and materials, and analysing student feedback.
**You will be required to work on campus 4 days a week to meet the student timetable.
About You:
To be successful as an Assistant Lecturer in Psychology you must have:
- A BPS accredited degree or higher in Psychology.
- Excellent breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in Psychology.
- The ability to effectively communicate material of a specialist or technical nature relevant to Psychology.
- The ability to contribute to programme enhancement.
- Confidence in using e-learning technologies and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Some experience in teaching or providing academic support is preferred.
