The School of Leadership and Management
The School of Leadership has grown significantly over the last few years and continues to have aggressive growth plans. This means we are able to offer fantastic progression and learning opportunities for our lecturers. In fact, a majority of our School's senior leadership team members started with Arden as Lecturers and subsequently progressed to senior roles.
The Role – Lecturer in Leadership and Management
As a Business Lecturer based in Holborn, you will also represent the University and its values, promoting the School of Leadership and Management and the Faculty of Business at external and internal events. The growth of the school of Leadership and Management in terms of increasing student enrolments and the validation of new, innovative programmes means that we need to recruit excellent Business lecturers to ensure ongoing success.
This role will be reporting into one of our Senior Leadership and Management Lecturers within the school and based out of our Holborn campus. As a Business Lecturers you will:
- Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures both face-to-face and online for our blended and distance learning students.
- Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
- Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
- Lead or support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
- Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment techniques.
About You:
To be successful as a Lecturer in Leadership and Management you must have:
- You must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in subject relevant to the teaching area.
- You must have a recognised HE Teaching Qualification and /or Advance HE Fellowship at FHEA/SFHEA level or demonstrate commitment to gain this recognition within 12 months of appointment
- Able to evidence CPD to show your commitment to enhancing your knowledge and teaching capability, including your practical teaching methods and techniques.
- Able to demonstrate excellent breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline/subject area to cover Level 4 to Level 7
