The IT Department
The InfoSec Analyst sits within our Technology Department which is crucial to making sure our employees and students can work effectively, deliver projects, find the right solutions and ensure we develop the technology that will make the biggest difference. Our IT team is made up of around 60 employees with a vast range of skills from Software Development to IT Operations and IT Security. Our IT Department values employee development and we have lots of great examples of employee progression and promotions within the team.
The Role – Information Security Analyst
We are currently recruiting an InfoSec Analyst to join our expanding Cyber Security team. Are you looking for the next step in your information security career? Do you want to join a team from the start and really make your mark? If so, our Information Security Analyst role could be for you!
An our new InfoSec Analyst, you will be a member of the Information Security Team and have responsibility for the administration of our information security policy, procedures and controls (including risk assessments and risk treatment plans). The InfoSec Analyst will be Involved with the design and implementation of new security controls to help further improve Arden’s security posture, working closely with the existing IT Security Analyst, other IT teams and the wider university to ensure that our information security posture is aligned across the organisation.
About You:
The right Information Security Analyst candidate will have:
Essential:
- Extensive experience and can demonstrate working within information security, on the Governance, Risk and Compliance side, with experience in standards and frameworks such as ISO27001.
- Experience of writing and reviewing policies and procedures and helping to get people on-board with information security programmes across HR, physical security, legal requirements and academic areas with your top of the line communication skills.
This InfoSec Analyst role is the Governance, Risk and Compliance part of information security; so you must be able to effectively communicate with everyone in the University at all levels (fluency in English is a must). It is not an entry level role.
Desirable:
- Experience in business continuity planning.
IT technical experience is not required for this role (this is not a technical Cyber Security role).
