Associate Lecturer - Logistics Supply Chain & Distribution - Berlin
Arden University is a growing organisation delivering blended and online study options to students studying towards Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees. Aside from the study centre in Berlin, we have study centres in numerous locations across the UK and a head office based in Coventry.
The role
This is a blended learning role paid at Euro 55 per hour.
Delivering at our Berlin Centre, you will be teaching Arden University blended learning students by utilising a range of innovative learning materials and resources.
The School of Supply Chain and Distribution is developing a portfolio of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in supply chain management and logistics. As such we are looking for associate faculty to support the provision of development and delivery. Being experienced at teaching students in Supply Chain Management and logistics Programmes, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver student-centred teaching approaches.
Ideally, you will have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one. In addition, you will hold a Postgraduate degree, as well as holding, or working towards a PhD. Demonstrable industry experience in supply chain and logistics will enhance your application. As our teaching is done both online and in-person, the experience of delivering lectures and supporting students in an online or blended learning environment would be desirable. Exposure to virtual learning environments, and other online tools to support student learning (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard or similar). We run occasional staff training events in Berlin and our Coventry Head Office, there would be an expectation for you to attend where possible.

Working pattern
Whilst some of the role involves supporting students virtually, you will primarily be required to deliver in-person teaching 1 to 4 days per week during a study block (10 weeks), from either 9am-1pm, or 1:30pm–5:30pm depending on the requirements and complete marking at the end of each study block. Please outline in your application your availability to deliver teaching. Please note that this role is a freelance opportunity and teaching allocation is not guaranteed for every study block.
