Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Salary circa £45,000 - £55,000

The Opportunity: The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a key part of realising the University’s IT Vision and strategy. You will help deliver our plans to improve the stability, security and scalability of our systems. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting our infrastructure including cloud services, on-premises servers & virtualisation platforms, network infrastructure, VOIP technology, Office 365 and more. This role reports to the Head of IT Operations.
The Person: You will have a successful track record as an Infrastructure Engineer, with excellent working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services as well as more traditional solutions. We will need you to bring your scripting skills alongside your tech problem-solving skills which will hold you in good stead to perform in this position.
There are a number of technologies we need you to be familiar with which include Linux, Dev/Ops practices, experience of AWS, and managing and automating code deployments and CI/CD pipelines. Above all, we are looking for someone to help deliver against a number of key tech requirements across the University but also someone to help us evolve our IT department.
