Associate Lecturer - Computing - London
Arden University is a growing organisation delivering online only and blended study options to students studying towards undergraduate degrees and master’s and MBA programmes. We have study centres in numerous locations across the UK, as well as a centre in Berlin, and a head office based in Coventry.
The role
This is a blended learning role.
Delivering at one of our 3 study centres in London; Tower Hill, Holborn & Ealing. (Preferred location will be discussed in the interview).
You will be teaching Arden University blended learning students by utilising a range of innovative learning materials and resources. Arden currently has opportunities in Computing from levels 4 through to level 6 starting as early as November. We are particularly looking for specialists in Database (Oracle, MySql, Modelling), Programming (PHP, Java, Python), Web (HTML, CSS, Javascript), Cloud, (AWS), Cyber (Governance, Information System Security) and Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, ideally MOUS certified) who are able to combine their technical expertise with a proven ability to deliver concepts and techniques to a diverse student body. You may also be involved in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
You should be an experienced lecturer who has led teaching sessions in a HE environment and has been involved in the full flow of activities across delivery, assessment and student support. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver a student-centred teaching approach and be comfortable developing materials for different levels and audiences.

Working pattern
We are moving to a new academic calendar in May. You will be offered teaching taking into account our requirements and your availability. Our face to face teaching blocks run for four hours (morning or afternoon) and you will potentially be offered multiple blocks of teaching across our old and new academic calendars. Your role will also involve supporting students virtually using our VLE and supporting students outside of teaching sessions with any questions or queries they may have.
