Arden University is a growing organisation delivering online and blended study options to students studying towards undergraduate degrees, master’s, and MBA programmes. We have study centres in numerous locations across the UK (London, Manchester, and Birmingham), as well as a centre in Berlin, and a head office based in Coventry.
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000
Working Pattern: 2xFull time and 1xPart-time (0.5 FTE) (note that some work from home arrangements will be considered)
Location: Flexible (within commutable distance of one of our study centres)
Your focus as a Lecturer of Law will be on designing engaging teaching materials for our new programmes, ensuring content and methods of delivery meet defined learning objectives. You will deliver excellent teaching and learning across our School’s programme portfolio including executive and professional education programmes. You will also be responsible for managing your own teaching activity, reflect on your practice and focus on the development of your skills, knowing that support and guidance will always be offered as needed.
As a Lecturer in our newly formed Law School, you will be innovative in your approach and look to contribute to the development and delivery of our new degree programmes, with a focus on a new practice ready LLB that will align with the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam curriculum. You will be highly motivated as well as committed to creating an inventive and excellent learning environment for our students. You should have experience of delivering and assessing content at an undergraduate level OR come from a legal professional practice/industry background with a keen interest in developing legal education. Experience of developing and delivering content on either the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) is desirable but not essential.
